Anti Aging

Over time, our skin naturally ages leaving us with fine lines and wrinkles. Whilst there are ways of slowing the signs of aging through lifestyle choices, the natural ability of the skin to renew and retain it's elasticity is something everybody eventually loses. Skin needling aims to boost the way in which young healthy skin naturally keeps itself looking fresh.

Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Both fine lines and wrinkles begin to appear on most people from their twenties onwards. Some people are affected considerably more than others. This is largely an a result of genes although things like smoking, poor diet and sun exposure can significanlty affect how quickly the speed at which the skin ages. Drinking plenty of water to keep the skin hydrated is another way to keep the skin at its healthiest.

Anti Aging Dermaroller Treatment

Skin needling is just one of the ways in which it is possible to fight the signs of aging and there are two unique advantages to the process. The first is the stimulation of collagen production which mimics the behaviour of younger skin. The second is the boost in effectiveness of other topically applied products.

Dermaroller Benefits

By rolling over the upper surface of skin, the tiny needles create light trauma. The skins natural reaction is to counteract this micro trauma through collagen production. This is a normal response in and more closely replicates the rate at which collagen is generated in younger more virile skin.

The second benefit of the process is the boost to the rate at which creams and serums are absorbed by the skin. Usually acting as a barrier, the micro channels created during the skin needling process allows a temprory channel through to the lower layers of skin. This means nutrients and active ingredients from any products applied are boosted considerably.

So not only is the skin stimulated into natural re-generation, the nutrients and moisture boosts from skin care products working at optimal levels give the skin a perfect environment to restore and improve itself to a former look and feel. Which Needle Length To Choose

We suggest that users consider shorter needle lengths as this minimises any chances of discomfort. There are several approaches to the method and contradictory advice as to what needle length is most appropriate. Over time, the majority of our customers have found that 0.5mm rollers are best although for those solely  interested in the increased absorption of skin care products, a 0.25 needle length is ideal. Which Brand Is Best For Wrinkles

All devices work in the same way and results will differ very little from one brand to the next - all derma rollers work the same way. What is important to understand when choosing between brands, is the way in which build quality can affect comfort and longevity of using the roller.

More expensive rollers tend to have narrower, better constructed needles. This reduces discomfort when rolling which is particularly important when using them on more sensitive areas such as the face.

All the rollers we have selected have been chosen so that they are suitable for home treatments and will last several weeks/months. Based on our customer feedback, we have highlighted the models we feel are most suitable for use on the face. This information can be seen when comparing brands in the dermaroller shop area.
